With conventional sliding doors, the frame remains a visible object in the façade. MoreView tries to remove that object from view. The principal frame profiles are concealed in the floor, walls and ceiling, leaving the glass and a very narrow central junction as the dominant visual elements.

YAWAL states transparency of up to 98% and a visible mullion width of only 27 mm where the moving leaves meet. That is the characteristic that makes the system especially convincing in projects where the view is part of the architecture rather than simply something seen through a window.

The numbers are impressive, but the real value is what they allow an architect to do. A living room can open towards a terrace with far fewer visual interruptions. Fixed panes can continue beyond the moving section. All-glass corners can remove the conventional aluminium corner post, and separate MoreView structures can be connected at 90° while keeping the glazing aligned with the floor line.

For a villa overlooking the sea or mountains, this is often more important than adding another decorative feature to the interior. The opening itself becomes the feature.

Four-metre leaves change how an opening is perceived.

MoreView allows moving leaves up to 4 m wide and 4 m high. YAWAL specifies a maximum manual leaf weight of 400 kg and an automatic leaf weight of up to 1200 kg. Fixed elements can also reach 1200 kg.

These capacities make very large glass modules possible, but they also make early engineering essential. Glass composition, wind pressure, transport, lifting access, support below the frame and the construction tolerances all need to be resolved before fabrication. A minimalist façade is visually simple only because the technical work behind it is not visible.

Automation without putting machinery on show.

The Premium automation option is one of MoreView's strongest details. The drive mechanism is completely hidden inside the frame. YAWAL states that it can operate moving leaves up to 1200 kg and can control complex configurations, including corners and multi-leaf arrangements.

The system includes obstacle detection, can be controlled by remote control, touch panel or smartphone, and provides a way to open or close the leaf during a temporary power failure. For large villa openings this is more than a luxury feature: it allows very heavy glass to remain easy to use without compromising the minimal appearance.

The hidden frame makes drainage more important, not less.

MoreView includes linear drainage integrated with the frame. That is particularly relevant in Spain, where many panoramic openings sit between an interior floor and an exposed terrace.

A flush architectural detail should never be treated as a styling decision alone. The exterior falls, drainage channel, waterproofing layers and final floor levels must be coordinated with the system before the terrace is finished. This is especially important on exposed elevations and coastal projects where wind-driven rain can be severe.

Why MoreView suits Mediterranean architecture.

On the Costa Blanca and around Valencia, the most successful contemporary houses often organise the main living space around a terrace, pool and landscape. MoreView works well in this context because its strongest feature is not the frame itself, but how little of the frame the user sees.

Large openings increase daylight and visual connection, but in Spain they also increase solar exposure. This means the system should be specified together with the glass. The right solar-control coating, g-value, external shading and façade orientation can be just as important as the aluminium profile.

MoreView therefore makes the most sense when the project team treats the opening as one coordinated assembly: structure, aluminium, glass, drainage, shading and interior/exterior floor levels.

Published performance is strong, but the project still decides the final result.

YAWAL publishes thermal transmittance from Uw 0.7 W/m²K, acoustic insulation up to Rw 42 dB, Class 4 air permeability, Class 8A water tightness, Class C4 wind resistance and RC2 burglary resistance for the MoreView system. The frame depths are 90, 192 and 294 mm depending on configuration, with a 72 mm leaf depth and glazing ranges of 31–36 mm and 50–60 mm.

These are manufacturer system values. The performance of an actual opening depends on its dimensions, configuration, glass, installation and project conditions. They should not be copied directly into a project specification without checking the selected construction.

For us, that is the main point with MoreView: it is not a system to choose from a photograph alone. When the dimensions become large and the threshold disappears into the architecture, the quality of the design work becomes part of the product.
